Exelixis wants to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance. With our many onsite services, you can tend to your wellness or take care of your chores without even leaving work. That gives you even more time to focus on the things you love when you’re away from the office. All regular full-time and part-time employees are eligible for our onsite benefits.

Onsite Chair Massages

Cloud Nine Chair Massages (Alameda HQ)

Chair massages are performed on a comfortable, ergonomically designed massage chair. Our massage therapists help to remove stress and reduce muscle tension while you remain comfortable in your work attire.

Massage Policy

To give all Exelixis employees the opportunity to take advantage of the paid chair massages, you’re allowed to sign up for only one spot per month.

• All regular full-time and part-time employees are eligible
• Chair massages given on a first-come-first-served sign-up basis only
• Limited to one 15-minute spot per month
• Gratuity is optional but always appreciated

Missed-Appointment Policy

You’ll be required to pay $20 for a missed session. If you can no longer attend your appointment, please identify a replacement and email the Benefits team as soon as possible with their name to confirm the change. Otherwise, the no-show policy will apply.

If the sign-up sheet is full, email the Benefits team to be added to the wait list.

Zeel Chair Massages (King of Prussia)

Purple Tie Onsite Dry Cleaning (Alameda)

Purple tie is a discounted dry-cleaning service for Exelixis employees. You can schedule your dry-cleaning service by emailing Purple Tie.

Get Started

1. Sign up at purpletie.com or via the PurpleTie iOS or Android app.
2. Search for Exelixis, Inc.
3. Put your clothes and confirmation page in a bag (any bag) and drop it in the PurpleTie closet (locations below).
4. You’ll get two emails: First, when PurpleTie loads your finished order in a van. Second, when PurpleTie delivers it back to the closet.
5. You’ll get a free barcoded PurpleTie bag with your first delivery. With your future orders, just put your items in that bag and drop it in the PurpleTie closet whenever you want.

Viviani Bros. Dry Cleaning (King of Prussia)

Employee-funded onsite dry-cleaning services are available to our King of Prussia employees through Viviani Bros. You can drop off your items in designated closets every Wednesday and Viviani Bros. will return them the following Friday. Review the Viviani Bros. price list.

Redwood Fit Fitness Classes

Enjoy onsite fitness classes led by certified fitness professionals from Redwood Fit.

Yoga

Yoga classes are for all ages and fitness levels. Instructors will assist you with modifications to help you avoid injuries, and if you have other needs.

When: Every Thursday from 12 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. PT.

Where: Classes are held in 1851 Seminar – RM 1002A. Classes are also offered virtually.

Zumba

Zumba® is a one-hour dance-based fitness technique. It combines elements of salsa, samba, merengue, reggaeton and hip-hop with cardio exercise moves to create a fast-paced, heart-pumping workout.

No experience necessary! All you need is an open mindset and a willingness to give it your best shot.

Classes will be taught by Redwood Fit Instructor, Emilly Nurthan.

When: Every Wednesday, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. PT.

Where: 1951-1-Training Room A. Classes are also offered virtually.

Spin Program

Our spin classes, offered onsite on the Alameda campus, incorporate physical exhilaration and achievement, as well as inspiring messages that translate into every aspect of our lives. We use best-in-class StagesSC3 spin bikes, featuring touch-screen consoles that display all your metrics (including power and cadence). You can also connect wirelessly to your personal bike computer (e.g., Garmin, Wahoo, etc.) or phone with a compatible fitness app (e.g., Zwift, Cyclemeter, etc.) so you can capture and track your ride metrics. Classes are held outside on the patio adjacent to the 1851 all-hands space.

Dr. David Speechly leads our complimentary onsite spin classes each week. Originally from South Africa, Dr. Speechly has been practicing the science of personal growth, fulfillment, excellence, and vitality for almost 30 years on three continents with a wide array of patients and clients.

Spin Class Information

• Limited to 20 people per session
• Slots available on a first-come, first-served basis
• All classes will take place outside on the patio adjacent to the 1851 all-hands space, and will be cancelled if inclement weather is predicted
• No masks required
• The bikes have two-sided pedals: a flat side with toe cages compatible with regular shoes/sneakers, and a clipless side compatible with Shimano SPD cleats
