What to Know

Life insurance pays money to your beneficiary if you die. AD&D insurance pays a benefit in the event you get dismembered or die because of an accident.

Basic Life and AD&D Insurance

Exelixis provides all regular full-time employees with basic life insurance coverage and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance in the amount of 2 times your base annual salary (max $1,000,000), at no cost to you.

Voluntary Life and AD&D Insurance

To protect your family and enable them to maintain their lifestyles, you’ll most likely need additional life insurance protection.

You can elect additional life and AD&D coverage and/or coverage for your spouse and child(ren) anytime throughout the year. The premiums will be deducted from your paychecks on a post-tax basis.

Voluntary life coverage:

• Employee coverage up to $1,000,000 (Guaranteed Issued Amount: $400,000)
• Spouse coverage up to $500,000 (Guaranteed Issued Amount: $50,000)
• Child coverage up to $10,000

Voluntary Accident Insurance

New for 2024! An accident can happen anywhere, anytime, and to anyone. But you can be prepared with coverage that pays a cash benefit for covered injuries. Accident insurance, issued by Prudential, works with any other coverage you already have and helps fill gaps like copays and deductibles, or it can help you pay for everyday expenses like child care or groceries.
